My metal detector is the Minelab CTX 3030 and I cannot praise this machine enough. I have had many wonderful finds. I previously owned a Minelab Safari which also did the job very well. I have often wandered along daydreaming about finding my first gold coin. If I was ever to find one I guessed it would be a Sovereign as these seem to appear often on the various forums. I never thought I would find something as amazing as this. When I saw it in the soil my heart stopped! A Gallo Belgic Type A Gold Stater 7.5g. These pictures were taken when I found it. To find this coin in this condition is incredible.
