As the fields in my neighbourhood are all seeded, I decided to go to the woods. This was a very good decision. Together with my mate Chris ( also from Sondler Bayern Facebook group ) I went to a wood near my village. After finding some coins (the best was a silver quarter dollar from the US 1941, I made the find of this weekend or better of this month for me.
Along an old way in the wood, I found a medieval halberd, which is in a very good condition due to the sandy ground. It has a length of over 30cm.The age is between 13th and 16th century; I forwarded the picture and location to my archaeologist and now waiting for more details to this found. Beside the helbard I found a coin from 1786 - 1 Pfennig Freie Reichstadt Frankfurt - This city is about 180km distance to my village. So the coin come to my area over old trading ways in Germany.
