I had been using my Minelab X-TERRA 305 for a couple of weeks after just purchasing it. I was detecting at a disused quarry, when I identified a number of targets ranging from 3-6 inches.
Having dug the first target out, I discovered a single ring bullet. Next, within 30 cm I found a 2c coin and then after checking the hole again a 1c coin, and then found two other bullets.
I am visiting the site again as it was a 1890's quarry and I hope to find some older coins etc. instead of just decimal coins, but for my first old finds they are not bad.
