Minelab E-TRAC to the rescue! A very special Christmas surprise to be unwrapped on Christmas day!! Oh how I wish I could be a fly on the wall to see his face! Farmer friends of mine Jim & Karen McA contacted me to help find their Nephews lost wedding band lost in an old barn. On my 1st & 2nd attempts I went buy what the farmers ‘thoughts’ on where it could be. I was determined to find the ring. So on my 3rd attempt I asked to speak directly with the Nephew. Warren M said he lost his 14k white gold wedding band on the upper portion where the hay was stacked. So I arrived back to the barn with the winds blowing threw the broken barn doors…started below on the main floor in case it and dropped down as a portion of the upper deck was holding the hay up with farm fencing. I looked up to the deck, looked through the roof holes to the Heavens above to grant me extra strength and determination to find Warren’s ring. Tossed up “Pinky” my detector….and the very old hay hoe…climbed up the barn ladder praying I don’t fall off with no one present….safety should always come first! Within 10 minutes Farmer Jim popped by to see how I was making out. He said my detecter was chirping like crazy. I said I have ‘Pinky’ on the jewellery mode to cancel out the high quantity of iron. Jim said to “come on down to warm up with some ‘special tea’” (*wink wink) …I said “in a minute, this one last target! I think it’s a good strong signal”. So I reached 2’ over onto the barn wire area and started the iPhone camera. I just ‘had that feeling’!! I yelled down to Jim, I think I’ve got it…he said ‘you’re pulling my leg”…. So low and behold the beautiful 14k white gold wedding ring was gleaming!! I was shaking! So very proud to have been able to find “a ring in a haystack”!! Warren has no idea yet his beloved wedding ring has been found. I had Jim & Karen tell him that I would like to make another attempt…as a joke! So Karen and I planned out a multiple gift with-in gifts to make Warren non-suspicious to be opened in front of Family on Christmas day!! This is “Pinkys” 2nd ring recovery!!
