I was on a new-to-me beach on a Island in the Puget Sound of Washington state. I knew it could be a good spot as it was close to a pioneer era town. I hit the beach in beach 1 with my sensitivity as high as the adjacent power lines would allow. I was in a mindset to go slow and listen for high tones. A modern coin and a big nail were my first targets. Then, a mess of tight targets, I scare out a modern cent, some bits of brass, and my first ever seated dime! I couldn’t beleive my eyes when I saw the reverse. ‘CC’!? “Are you kidding me?” I asked myself. I spun circles looking for more treasure for another hour so, until the tide waters took my hunting grounds away. I’ll be back soon with my EQUINOX, when the tide allows, in hope of finding more!
