Hello, today I just bought my 7 year old son his first metal detector from the Minelab shop. On our way back I took him to this park that we passed by. I stopped by, told him to go have a try and I put the metal detector together for him, Then told him to have a go.
The first ever signal that he got he dug up and there it was, his first pre decimal coin, a 1944 three pence.
I was amazed! So he kept on detecting, found a coin here and there.
Then he found a rare 1918 one penny worth up to $100 so I was pleased with his first hunt.
