I took my new GO-FIND 60 out to the beachfront on the small lake in town. I started detecting on the water's edge, and soon had my first hit. I dug for quite a while and finally pulled out if the water a toy car. I continued to detect along the water's edge and soon pulled out a second toy car. My GO-FIND found pennies that were buried at least 5 inches deep on the water's edge. I was most impressed, however, by the GO-FIND's ability to find an old screw head probably 6 inches deep.
As I was heading out, my detector went crazy. I began to dig, and soon uncovered a length of chain that was most likely anchoring the pier. Incidentally, I chose to leave the chain in place :-). Overall, I had a blast, and for my first time ever metal detecting, I'm very satisfied.
Thanks to Minelab for building a great machine! Keep it up!
