At the beginning of February I was out detecting with a local group (Hyndburn and Ribble Valley). I have been using a Safari for the last 4 years but had recently purchased an Equinox 600 mainly due to the lighter weight and my advancing years. Up until know I had not had much success with my new Nox but was getting used to it. After 2 hours I had found a cartwheel penny and a hammered half groat of Edward III when I got a banging signal of 35. I dug down about 15 inches and unearthed a lovely Bronze Age axe head and it was still as sharp as the day it was made. This design ranges between 1350 and 1700 BC. I still love my Safari but now there is a rival for my affections. Geoff – Lancashire, UK
