My dad took me to the beach for a few hours and we did not get much. So on the way home we passed a park near some old buildings. I asked him if we could stop so I could detect. My dad said yes. I changed the EQUINOX from beach 1 to parks 1 and was able to put discrimination at 24 without any interference. My first couple of targets were pop tops one with part of bottle connected. I then got a 35 on my machine and was hoping for silver but it was a phonograph reproducer from late 1800’s then next Target was a 30 and about 5 inched down was a 1825 large cent. Wow, that was only my 3rd large cent ever. Then I moved a few feet and got a 25 and the signal got better when I swung my coil faster over the target. It felt like I dug forever with my hand shovel it was around 9” down and it was an 1867 Indian penny. I was so excited. So I proceeded to detect more and wasn’t getting and targets so I went to other side of sidewalk and BAM I got a 28 signal. I was expecting a quarter. I dug about 4 or 5 inches and popped the plug and it was right on top a 1851 large cent. Wow! I was so excited. After that, I dug a 1936 Wheaties then had to leave. Can’t wait to go back. The more I use the EQUINOX 800 the more I’m loving it.
