I started the morning with a few rusty nails and after two hours I finally thought I had a hit. I cut the plug and at about 7 inches I use the pin pointer only to find a larger rust nail, not what I heard in my headset so I covered the plug and scanned the hole again and this time it had that high pitch. I got my first Standing Liberty Quarter with a good date (1919) and detail to boot. My next coin came just 15 minutes later at about eight inches with a piece of red brick right on top of the 1819 Large Cent. I have been on cloud nine with finding two coins that are 100 years old from each other and that both are in great condition.
Thanks again Minelab for a fine detector.
