I just started using my Nox800 this past March when my club leader Gerry suggested an attempt at a local Connecticut city park that has been “hit hard over the years”. On the wooded 45 degree angled banks of the park, I started detecting. After digging and discarding keys on a lanyard and a crushed bottle cap, the machine kept ringing 28-33. While digging away under the branches of a low hanging mountain Laurel, I reached a nine inch depth and the pointer screamed...reaching down I felt the coin and pulled it out. Being a novice of a one and a half year detectorist newbie, I was excited. However, Gerry, who is a seasoned 20+ detecting veteran, thought I was pulling a fast one on him. Until I showed him the coin. I didn’t Realize this was a coin on his bucket list. I have never pulled so much silver and gold rings since investing in the 800. Yep I retired the ATMax.
