A friend and I were going to detect a old field but it was to muddy so I suggested a school nearby which I had found coins back into the late 1890’s. Well him his son and I spent an afternoon there and we all got silver Dave Senior found an 1889 Seated dime I found a silver Roosevelt and his son found a war nickel I also found a 1908 Indian head penny. I went back the following day Sunday two days after New Year’s Day and went to the same area where the seated dime was found. Well it didn’t take long I had a 26 on the equinox which turned out to be a 1908 barber dime! In less than a foot away I had another 26 I thought oh great another barber dime boy was I wrong turned Out to be in 1849 Seated dime!!! I also found another 1948 Roosevelt so it made a trifecta for the day! I also found the Boy Scout good luck token from 1910 with a swastika on it just a great first hunt!!!
