Detectors To Be Used In Mozambique And Zimbabwe To Aid In Crime Scene Investigations Of Illegal Poaching
Minelab, the world leader in providing metal detecting technologies for consumer, humanitarian demining and military needs, today announced that it has donated three Safari metal detectors to the Anti-Poaching Foundation (IAPF), an Australian non-profit organization that aims to bring awareness to illegal animal poaching and to empower anti-poaching units through education and action.
The Minelab detectors will be used in Mozambique and Zimbabwe, two locations that are critically affected by the continued high levels of illegal poaching.
“We are proud to support the IAPF by giving them the tools they need to help stop illegal poaching,” said Sheila Kelleher at Minelab International Limited. “By donating our Safari detectors, we hope to make an impact in defending the world’s wildlife from this constant threat.”
“Illegal trafficking of wildlife is one of the world’s largest criminal industries,” said Damien Mander founder of IAPF. “We are extremely grateful for the Minelab detectors and know they will play an important role in our efforts.”
