In September 2012 Minelab Americas held the 3rd Annual Minelab Americas Partner Conference in Charlottesville, Virginia. This conference was not only a great opportunity for Minelab Americas Partners to learn more about Minelab products but also a chance for Minelab to recognize some of the outstanding performances from our authorized Minelab partners from the past fiscal year of 2012.

Gerry's Detectors (Gerry McMullan) from Boise, ID. Gerry was awarded with Excellence in Customer Care. This award goes to the partner in the Minelab organization that has shown incredible passion and focus on serving Minelab customers with unprecedented passion. The Customer Care Champion will often perform an extra training session or outing to ensure customers using Minelab equipment understand procedures and techniques required for a successful dig. Gerry embodies all of these things and spends much of his time teaching his customers how to use Minelab technologies. Gerry is the number one contributor of suggestions & feedback to our service team at Minelab Americas - assisting us to get to the next level of Customer Care.
El Dorado Metal Detectors in Monterrey, Mexico. El Dorado was awarded with Excellence in Business Growth - Total Percentage. This award goes to the partner in the Minelab organization that has grown their business exponentially in the past year. El Dorado's business grew over 380% year over year resulting in well over a quarter of a million dollars of Minelab product purchases. This growth was done the Minelab way - natural investment in the business - growth in personnel and overall Minelab product and customer base expansion. El Dorado opened up our distribution into Mexico in 2010-11 and has not looked back as they bring Minelab detection into the Mexican market!

Cabela's - World's Foremost Outfitter from Sidney, NE. Cabela's was awarded with Excellence in Business Growth - Total Revenue. This award goes to the partner in the Minelab organization that has grown their business by total purchase dollar amount in the past year. Cabela's business grew over 200% year over year resulting in stellar total dollar amount growth over the 2012 fiscal year. This growth was accomplished by working directly with our sales management team at Minelab Americas, investing in training of the sales force & putting together some very creative marketing. Cabela's has done an excellent job of driving the education of the value of a Minelab detector through their extensive customer base.
Chuck Smalley, S/W Shooters - from Davenport, IA. Chuck Smalley was presented with the Pioneer Award. The Pioneer Award is rewards creativity, invention and entrepreneurship. The Minelab Pioneer has taken initiative to suggest, communicate & champion a new idea, policy, product or other that has resulted in improving Minelab's position in the industry from a sales, service or industry perspective. Pioneers in American history have explored & traveled to undiscovered places and often places that are not yet understood. Chuck has been a pioneer over the last fiscal year in the area of the delivery of education to Customers & the broad dealer channel. Throughout the last year, Chuck has a willing leader in all of our new initiatives focused on driving the Minelab brand from training to archaeological digs.

Ron has spent his lifetime building one of the premier metal detector businesses in the northeast United States. He is known nationwide and region-wide as an amazing resource & open to any idea that brings him closer to his customers. Ron puts together dozens of training & exploration events annually for his clients & the results pay dividends. Ron is a leader in this industry and in Minelab Americas' extended channel business. His excellence in providing solutions to customers continues year after year.
